Welcome to motherhood

Becoming a mother is perhaps the biggest life event that can happen to a woman. The changes are profound, and yet most women are not prepared for them.

During my research of motherhood in the past decade I've spoken to lots of mothers and professionals who work with them, and the theme that keeps coming up is that women are not prepared for motherhood. They are prepared for pregnancy and birth, but what comes after is often a huge shock.

It doesn't have to be.

New motherhood is beautiful; but it's also very challenging. The first few weeks and months can be tough - but if we can prepare for that, we can navigate the journey better.

Let me show you how.

How can this course help you?

Preparing for the postpartum period is just as important as preparing for the birth of your baby. Becoming a mother is a huge transition - and the more prepared you are, the easier it is to navigate it. This is what you will learn in this course:

  • How to navigate postpartum recovery - so you get your strength and vitality back

  • How to prepare for the emotional changes - so you're not shocked by your world turning upside down

  • How to recognise mental health problems - so you know what's normal and what's not

  • How to design a life you enjoy - because your wellbeing matters, too!

No more confusion

Becoming a mother is a momentous change. Let's start preparing for it.

Wellbeing professional and educator

Gabriella Campelli-Ignacz

Hello there! I'm Gabriella Campelli-Ignacz (MA, MSc), wellbeing professional and educator, with a particular interest in early parenthood, happiness, and workplace wellbeing.  I believe that wellbeing is more than just healthy eating and exercise - it's also about happiness, contentment, life satisfaction, having a purpose, work-life balance, and meaningful relationships. And while we as individuals can do a lot to manage our own health and wellbeing, there is also a lot that workplaces, communities, and indeed our whole society can do to further collective wellbeing.

Your wellbeing matters

Newborn babies are very delicate - and so are new mothers. Let me show you how to look after your wellbeing postpartum.
